REO Speedwagon — the rock group whose ballads littered the airwaves in the 1980s — will perform in the Tri-Cities this spring.

The group will play the Toyota Center on May 23. It’s the only Washington stop announced so far on a tour run that’s topped more than two dozen performances.

Tickets start at $47 and can be bought online at yourtoyotacenter.com.

The band has sold more than 40 million records with their piano-driven arena rock.

Their 1980 release “Hi Infidelity” produced three Billboard Hot 100 singles that reached the top 20, as well as two No. 1 hit with “Keep on Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.”

It also earned them a Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal.”
