Two of the biggest events of the summer in the Tri-Cities have combined into one weekend-long mega event.

Cool Desert Nights and Hogs and Dogs are coming together this year to present the first-ever SpeedFest Show and Shine event.

SpeedFest will be June 23-25 at the Red Mountain Event Center in West Richland, and will showcase classic cars, entertainment, food vendors and more, according to the West Richland Chamber of Commerce.

The Cool Desert Nights Cruise and Drive-in Movie will kick off the events Thursday.

The cruise begins at 6:30 p.m., but the meeting time is at 6 p.m. at the Queensgate Les Schwab. A showing of Back to the Future will be at 8 p.m. at the Red Mountain Event Center.

The events on June 24 will take the place of the Cool Desert Nights event, including Beer Gardens, live music and more. Events on June 25 will take the place of the Hogs and Dogs event, including a corn hole tournament.

A list of events, the route for the cruise and more information can be found on the SpeedFest Show and Shine website.

A swap meet will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both June 24 and 25, with Benton County Transit Services available both days from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

SpeedFest bus tickets are $1.50, or 75 cents for seniors and free for youth. Correct change is required.

Admission to the events and drive in movies are free to the public. The Swap Meet will have a $10 shopping fee. Parking is $5.
