Urban corrido artist with over 8 million Spotify streams coming to Tri-Cities
One of the hottest rising stars in urban corrido music is headed to the Tri-Cities. Junior H, an L.A. based singer, songwriter and guitarist, will perform in Kennewick this fall on a highly-anticipated tour.
The tour produced by LiveNation will take the Mexico native through multiple cities for a total of 21 shows, with his Kennewick show in the middle of the tour.
Junior H has over 8.6 million streams on Spotify with songs like “El Plumas,” a song connecting with his musical origins, and “El Hijo Mayor,” a corrido or ballad, with over 700,000 streams on YouTube and Spotify.
His new album released in February 2022, “Mi Vida En Un Cigarro Vol. 2,” has reached over 100,000 streams on Spotify alone, which is an achievement for him as an artist, especially in the urban corrido genre, according to a news release.
When he released his song “Atrapado En Un Sueño” in 2020, Junior H became one of the youngest artists to hit the top 10 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart at the age of 20, said the release.
Ever since, his music has been streamed around the world, with millions of fans connecting with his music about ambition, optimism, street life and toxic relationships, said the release.
Junior H will perform at 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Toyota Center.
Pre-sales for tickets begin June 15 at 10 a.m. and run through June 16 at 10 p.m. local time. Sales for the general public will be available June 17 at 10 a.m.
