See Kennewick man’s Travel Channel show on Bigfoot starting this weekend

A Kennewick man will make his Travel Channel debut as the series “Expedition Bigfoot” airs its first episode at 10 p.m. Sunday.

The TV show, with Russell Acord as a cohost, is billed as part investigative, part adventure series.

Acord, a retired Army sergeant and Hanford worker, was part of a team of four that headed into the deep woods of central Oregon this past summer in search of Bigfoot, or at least evidence of the legendary creature.

The promo for the show says that “possible nesting sites, footprints and vocalizations lead the team to a hot spot where inexplicable events occur and one of the greatest pieces of video evidence in Bigfoot history is recorded.”

Bigfoot researcher Russell Acord of Kennewick is one of four co-hosts on the Travel Channel’s new eight-episode series called Expedition Bigfoot. Acord leads the team into the forest of central Oregon with state-of-the art equipment in search of the elusive creature. The show premieres on Dec. 8. Watch a video at: tricityherald.com/videos
