Camerata Musica will kick off its new season Saturday with a concert by acclaimed pianist Jovanni-Rey de Pedro.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. in the theater at Columbia Basin College in Pasco.

De Pedro will perform works by Strauss, Dohnanyi, Haydn, Gulda, Leschetizsky and Rachmaninoff.

A California native, he holds a doctorate in piano pedagogy and performance from the University of Michigan and has performed and taught around the world.

Camerata Musica organizes chamber music concerts. Admission to the shows is free, with the group relying on sponsorships, grants donations and patrons.
