Anne Spilman gets ACT promotion
Anne Spilman has been promoted to executive director of Academy of Children’s Theatre.
She’ll be responsible for managing the vision, growth and sustainability of the Richland organization, as well as business operations and facility management, a news release said.
Spilman is a graduate of Kennewick High School and Pacific Lutheran University.
She has a long history with ACT, participating in programs as a youth before coming on board as a staff member. She’s been a director, choreographer and drama instructor at the theater company, and also held acting executive director and interim artistic director.
Spilman is a Leadership Tri Cities board member, and graduate of the program.
She’s also vice chairwoman of the Richland Arts Commission, was a founding board member of The Rude Mechanicals, volunteers with Girls on the Run and is part of Powerful Connections, a women’s business networking group.
In 2016, the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business gave her its Young Professionals Award.
