Want to meet an alpaca? Check out the Summer Fiber Arts Festival in Prosser

The eighth annual Summer Fiber Arts Festival is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Sage Bluff Alpacas in Prosser.

The event is open to the public, appropriate for all ages and admission is free. It’ll include farm tours, the chance to meet alpacas and talk with breeders John and Jennifer Ely. Plus, vendors selling fiber arts and other items will be on hand.

Spinning, weaving, felting and knitting demonstrations also are planned, and a braided rug class is noon to 4 p.m. To sign up, call 509-786-4507.
