ACT presents ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ and ‘Frosty the Snowman’
Academy of Children’s Theatre is spreading holiday cheer with its latest production.
The Richland theater company is presenting A Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty the Snowman.
Performances are at 7 p.m. Dec. 1-2 and 8-9 at ACT, 213 Wellsian Way. Matinees at 3 p.m. Dec. 3 and 10 are already sold out. The Dec. 8 performance is, too.
People are encouraged to buy tickets soon at academyofchildrenstheatre.org, by calling 509-943- 6027 or at the ACT office.
Cost is $15 for general admission, $12 for students and seniors, and $9 for kids 12 and younger.
Cathy Kelly is directing, with a cast of 32 young actors.
Elijah Hall, from Hanford High, stars at Charlie Brown, and Leona Libby Middle School student Marli Petit takes on the role of Lucy.
Ryleigh McWilliams, a Mid-Columbia Partnership student, plays Frosty.
A Charlie Brown Christmas is based on the TV holiday special, and Frosty the Snowman is based on the beloved Christmas carol.
The show runs 1 hour, 15 minutes total, with Santa Claus paying a visit during intermission.
“The engaging and uplifting dual production is appropriate for all ages, and recommended for ages three and up,” a news release said.
