Richland’s Winter Wonderland set Dec. 1-2
The city of Richland’s second annual Winter Wonderland is set for Dec. 1.
The free event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at John Damn Plaza and includes a tree lighting, holiday music, rides on the Dreamland Express with Santa, and free hot chocolate and kettle corn while supplies last.
The countdown to the tree lighting starts at 6:15 p.m. It will be followed by a light show on the HAPO Community Stage, which will run nightly through December.
Festivities continue from 7 to 9 p.m. at Howard Amon Park, as the Lighted Boat Parade delights from the river. Hot chocolate and warming fires will be available. Santa also will be on hand.
The event picks back up Dec. 2, with activities from 6 to 9 p.m. at the park and the Richland Community Center.
A model train display by Tri-City Model Railroaders also will be set up for viewing from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 1 and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 2 at the community center.
HAPO Community Credit Union and BMW of Tri-Cities are Winter Wonderland sponsors.
