Tri-City Youth Choir is presenting the show Gifts of Christmas.

Members of the group’s Forte and Treble Forte show choirs will “ring in the season with a mix of holiday tunes with beautiful costumes, stunning stage scenery and brilliant choreography,” a news release said.

“Each song in this season’s show reflects a special gift, such as the gifts of gratitude, humor, playfulness and love,” the release said.

Performances are at 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at Chief Joseph Middle School, 604 Wilson St., Richland.

Chris Baugh, a youth choir board member, encouraged community members to check it out.

“A lot of people mistakenly think the (group’s) shows consist of a bunch of high school kids singing on choir stands, and either don’t go because of that misconception or they attend and are thoroughly surprised by the incredible energy and complexity of the performance,” he said. “The shows are filled with singing, dancing, acting — all combined with a stage decked out in holiday trimmings, performers in beautiful costumes, and choreography that enhances the message of each song. These young performers really give it their all.”

Baugh also noted that the behind-the-scenes crew is made up of students or recent graduates.

Tickets start at $10 for general admission and $8 for seniors and students. They’re available at yourtcyc.com/tickets, Tri-City Academy of Ballet and Music in Richland and at the door.
