Pop-up gallery featuring work by acclaimed Tri-City artists open in Richland

A pop-up gallery featuring work by five acclaimed Tri-City area artists is open through Christmas Eve in Richland.

The gallery, called Shooting Star Gallery, features photos, paintings, post cards, calendars and glass art.

It’s open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday through Dec. 23, plus 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 24. It’s at 450 Williams Blvd., Suite A.

Scott Butner, a landscape photographer, opened the temporary gallery in his former photography studio, which has been vacant since he moved out in August.

Through the gallery, “We wanted to give people a chance to buy local art, locally,” he said in a statement.

The gallery features work by Butner, plus John Clement, Alice Beckstrom, Lene Kimura and Karen Powers.
