Book discussion set for Oct. 17 in Dayton

Michelle Janning, a Whitman College sociology professor, will discuss and sign her new book, The Stuff of Family Life: How Our Homes Reflect Our Lives, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Dayton Historic Depot, 222 E. Commercial Ave.

Her book examines what the objects and spaces within a home say about people and their relationships. It will be available for purchase at the event.
