Avett Brothers documentary screening Sept. 12 in Walla Walla
A screening of the independent film May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers is planned for 7 p.m. Sept. 12 at Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla.
“Filmed with extraordinary access over more than two years, (the film) is a deeply intimate and revealing look at the Grammy Award-nominated North Carolina band fronted by Seth and Scott Avett,” a news release said.
Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio directed.
The film chronicles the band’s 2016 collaboration with producer Rick Rubin in the form of the album True Sadness. “Using the recording process as a backdrop, the film depicts a lifelong creative partnership put to the test as band members undergo marriage, divorce, parenthood, illness, and the challenges of the music business,” the release said.
