Tri-City author Kimberly A. Starr to sign books Sept. 9

Tri-City author Kimberly A. Starr will sign copies of her book, 457 Days: A Mother’s Journey Along Grief’s Path, on Sept. 9 in Richland.

The event runs 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Adventures Underground, 1391 George Washington Way. Starr also will read excerpts and answer questions.

457 Days is “an intimate portrait of grief and anguish that will touch anyone with a loved one suffering from mental illness and suicidal ideation,” a news release said.

It’s a chronicle of the weeks and months following the death of Starr’s son by suicide. It’s also a celebration of his life and legacy.

In the book, “Starr recounts an entire life of wonderful memories and unforgettable experiences — and her own journey toward acceptance and peace,” the release said.
