Exhibition featuring fiber artist Barbara Sherrill opens in Richland

A new exhibition featuring work by fiber artist Barbara Sherrill runs through Sept. 29 at the Allied Arts Association gallery in Richland.

An artist reception is 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at Gallery at the Park, 89 Lee Blvd.

“Sherrill utilizes elements such as color, shape and visual texture to create beautiful works of fiber art,” a news release said.

“Many of (her) recent pieces are connected by themes of aging, faith, life choices and the passage of time. With such an eclectic body of work, Sherrill is able to express these themes in multiple ways, with works of art that viewers will find poignant, thought-provoking and interesting.”
