Kennewick cancer clinic to hold film screening

Northwest Cancer Clinic is holding a free screening of the documentary The C Word on Aug. 31 in Richland.

The event is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Uptown Theatre, 1300 Jadwin Ave.

In the film, neuroscientist Dr. David Servan-Schreiber and director director Meghan L. O’Hara “join forces on a wild ride of discovery; including hidden science, the absurdity of the status quo, and a vibrant cast of characters changing the game,” the documentary’s website says.

Morgan Freeman is narrator and executive producer.

Dr. Brian Lawenda, medical director of Northwest Cancer Clinic in Kennewick, will hold a question-and-answer session after the film.

The public is invited. Light refreshments will be served.
