Atlanta indie rock band The Head to perform in Richland

The Atlanta-based indie rock band The Head will perform Aug. 25 in Richland.

Showtime is 9 p.m. at Emerald of Siam, 1314 Jadwin Ave. Cover is $5.

The Head, which includes Jacob Morrell on guitar, Mike Shaw on vocals and bass and Jack Shaw on drums, is touring in support of its new album Space.

The guys have been playing together since high school, “writing and performing original songs inspired by the bands they love: trippy Brits like Stone Roses, Spiritualized, Ride, The Verve and Echo and the Bunnymen, and moody Americans like The National, Scott Walker and early R.E.M.,” a news release said.
