White Bluffs Quilt Museum offering lectures, classes in November

The White Bluffs Quilt Museum, 294 Torbett St., Richland is offering lectures and classes in November on fibers used in the Mid-Columbia region.

Desert Fiber Artists members will discuss cottons and the process from plant to clothing at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11.

A field trip is planned at noon Nov. 12 to the Spring Harvest Fiber Mill in Sunnyside for a guided tour.

And Judy Zugish, an internationally known artist, teacher, lecturer and co-founder of Fishsticks Basketry School, will be on hand Nov. 18-20. She’ll give a free lecture at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 on “Plants that become baskets,” followed by classes Nov. 19-20 on making Willow Bark bowls. Space is limited and people must pre-register.
