Mid-Columbia Symphony kicks off new season with Oct. 1 concert
Mid-Columbia Symphony will kick off its new season, called Circle of Fifths, with a concert Oct. 1 in Richland.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Richland High, 930 Long Ave.
The concert will feature Symphony No. 5 by Beethoven.
“From its iconic opening to triumphant finale, Beethoven’s Fifth is one of the most treasured symphonies in the repertoire,” according to information from the symphony.
Other music will include Grofe’s Grand Canyon Suite and Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, helping celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
General admission is $27 for adults and $15 for youth. Tickets are available at midcolumbiasymphony.org, by calling 509-943-6602 or going to the symphony office at 1177 Jadwin Ave., Richland.
