Who Won ‘Jeopardy' Today? (June 22, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.

What was Final Jeopardy today?

Final Jeopardy today was in the category "ANCIENT AUTHORS"

The clue: "A mural discovered in Tajikistan of a man stabbing a fowl is cited as evidence that this author's works traveled the Silk Road."

The answer: "Who is Aesop?"

Remsen was in the lead at the end of the final DJ round, coming to FJ with $20,600, opposed to Wall-Polin and Cea's $5,400 and $12,400.

He was also the only one to answer FJ correctly, wagering $4,201 for a final day total of $24,801, earning him the title of 7-day champion. Meanwhile, Wall-Polin wagered $2,900, got it wrong ("Who is Socr Plato?") and took third place with $2,500, while Cea wagered $8,201, just enough to surpass Remsen's score by $1 if he wagered nothing, though he got it wrong ("Who is Diogenes?") and dropped to $4,199 in second place.

Remsen will be back on Tuesday for attempt number 8.
