Country Star's No. 1 Hit Just Surpassed 1 Billion Streams on Spotify

Morgan Wallen has reached another major milestone in his record-breaking career. His hit song "Wasted On You" has officially surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, making it the 16th country song ever to join the platform's exclusive billion-stream club.

The achievement further strengthens Wallen's position as one of the biggest stars in country music. It also marks the fourth song in his catalog to cross the one-billion-stream threshold on Spotify, a feat accomplished by only a handful of artists in the genre.

"Wasted On You" joins Wallen's other billion-stream hits: "Last Night," "Whiskey Glasses" and "I Had Some Help" with Post Malone, according to Whiskey Riff. With four songs now reaching the milestone, Wallen owns one-quarter of all country tracks that have surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.

The latest accomplishment arrives during another banner year for the Tennessee native. Spotify data shows Wallen continues to attract more than 34.5 million monthly listeners, highlighting his sustained popularity among fans around the world.

Success on streaming platforms has played a major role in Wallen's rise to the top of country music. Over the past several years, he has consistently ranked among the most-streamed artists in the genre, while his songs regularly appear on Billboard's streaming-focused charts.

"Wasted On You" was originally released as part of his blockbuster 2021 album Dangerous: The Double Album. The song quickly became a fan favorite and helped fuel the album's historic chart run.

The billion-stream milestone adds another chapter to Wallen's growing list of achievements. His previous streaming giants, "Whiskey Glasses," "Last Night," and "I Had Some Help," have each generated massive audiences across digital platforms.

The streaming achievement comes as Wallen remains one of the hottest names in the music business.

His latest album, I'm the Problem, recently became the best-selling album in the United States for 2026. The project has continued to post impressive sales and streaming figures more than a year after its release, further proving Wallen's staying power in the industry.

The album originally debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and later returned to the top spot during its chart run. Its success followed Wallen's previous blockbuster albums, Dangerous: The Double Album and One Thing at a Time, both of which spent extended periods at No. 1.

Fans also recently witnessed Wallen's commitment to delivering memorable live performances during a stop on his Still the Problem Tour in Denver. While performing "Sand In My Boots," the singer encountered technical issues with a piano onstage. After appearing frustrated by the malfunction, Wallen finished part of the song a cappella before pushing the piano over.

As streaming continues to reshape the music industry, Wallen's numbers show no signs of slowing down. With four billion-stream songs to his name and a best-selling album leading the charts, the country superstar continues to set the pace for modern country music.
