Kim Kardashian Celebrates North's Milestone Birthday With Sweet Post Detailing an Epic Celebration
Kim Kardashian is celebrating a major milestone for her oldest child.
North West turned 13 on Monday, June 15, officially making Kim and Kanye West's daughter a teenager. Kardashian marked the occasion with a sweet Instagram post dedicated to North, sharing recent photos, a mother-daughter selfie and a throwback of North as a baby.
"Happy Birthday my Northiiiiiieeeeeeeee (Uzi voice!!!)," Kardashian wrote. "I can't believe you are officially a teenager!!!!!"
Kim Kardashian Shared a Sweet Birthday Message for North
"There's no one like you my baby girl!" she wrote. "I love being your mom and watching you grow. I love you to the aliens galaxies you would speak of as a kid and beyond."
North is no longer just the little girl fans watched grow up on social media. She is officially a teenager.
North's Birthday Came After a Big Performance Moment
Just days before turning 13, she performed solo at Lyrical Lemonade's Summer Smash 2026 music festival in Bridgeview, Illinois. Kardashian shared a look at the event on Instagram Stories, including backstage passes featuring North's face and clips of her daughter performing onstage.
North wore a head-to-toe black Balenciaga look with spiky jewelry, black sneaker boots and oversized sunglasses for the performance.
Kanye also showed support by reposting a clip of North performing "TALKING," their 2024 collaboration from his album Vultures 1.
North Has Been Stepping Into Her Own Spotlight
The Summer Smash performance was another sign that North is building her own creative lane.
Her debut EP, N0rth4Evr, was released on May 1, and her family showed support online at the time. She also made a surprise appearance at Rolling Loud in Orlando earlier this year and performed with Kanye at his concert at SoFi Stadium in April.
Kris Jenner Also Paid Tribute
Kardashian was not the only family member to celebrate North.
Kris Jenner also shared a birthday tribute, calling North "beautiful, brilliant, creative, funny, and smart." Jenner added that watching North find her own path and passions has been "such a joy."
North has been known for her bold style and personality for years, but her latest birthday comes as she is also starting to show what she wants to create on her own.
