'90s Rock Band Announces 'Long-Awaited' Update to 2027 Tour
The "Everlong" wait for many Foo Fighters fans will soon be over, as the legendary rock band will officially make their India debut early next year.
The band posted the exciting new update to Instagram on Monday, June 15, in the midst of their ongoing Take Cover Tour. Not only will the tour be continuing into 2027, but the Foo Fighters will be performing in India for the first time ever.
The Dave Grohl-led group unveiled two India shows scheduled for January 2027. The group will first stop in the city of Bengaluru on Jan. 29 before heading to Mumbai for a Jan. 31 show.
Not only were fans hyped-up about the band's first-ever tour stops in India, but many users on Instagram also couldn't contain their excitement over the opening acts announced as part of the India tour dates, which will both include performances from Taylor Momsen's rock band, The Pretty Reckless.
The band Die Spitz will also perform at each of the Foo Fighters' stops in India, while the Bengaluru show will feature additional opening acts, Alain Johannes and Pinkshift. The Mumbai concert will also include performances by the band Still in Therapy and singer-songwriter, Mali.
"Foo Fighters make their long-awaited India debut in Bengaluru and Mumbai early next year!" read the caption on the band's Instagram post. They added, "It's Times Like These you learn to live again," a reference to their iconic 2003 single, "Times Like These."
"Taylor Momsen and Dave Grohl, on a single bill? TAKE MY MONEY!" one enthusiastic fan commented on the fans, while others commended the "superb lineup" of opening acts.
"This will be one for the books," one fan predicted, while another person noted that it's been a "Long time coming" for this news.
Tickets for the Foo Fighters India tour dates will go on sale Tuesday, June 16 at 12:00 pm.
