"The Knobs are rocking out throughout the album, but there are also some surprises," said the former Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Fleetwood Mac guitarist on Instagram on June 13. "We took a few chances, we got a couple of special guests... We've got a song called 'More Than Gold' which has Morgane Stapleton singing with me!"

The rocker said Morgane "did an amazing job" on the folky new track, which is available now on Spotify. The sweet song is about reconnecting with an old lover and appreciating love over material things with lyrics like "So I'll give it my best shot and open up my soul, maybe you'll listen, maybe not, but I need to fill this hole with more than gold." Inside Morgane Stapleton's Quiet But Powerful Music Career

Chris may be more famous, but Morgane is a musician in her own right having built an impressive career as a singer, songwriter, and producer in country music despite never releasing a solo album.

After beginning as a staff songwriter in Nashville, she penned songs recorded by huge names like Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Trisha Yearwood, and Reba McEntire. She also established herself as one of country music's most sought-after harmony vocalists, contributing to many artists' albums and becoming an essential creative partner in Chris' career.

Morgane helped shape his breakthrough 2015 album Traveller, and has appeared as a backing vocalist on all of his subsequent releases, even earning a share of the 2024 Academy of Country Music Award for Album of the Year as a co-producer of Higher.
