'80s Country Rock Band Releases Dates for 2026 Tour
The iconic '80s country rock band Cowboy Junkies have added new dates to their 40th anniversary tour taking place this year. The exciting news was announced on Tuesday via Instagram, leaving longtime fans thrilled.
Cowboy Junkies are celebrating their extensive, four-decade-spanning career with this massive milestone trek. Formed in Toronto in 1985 by siblings Margo, Michael and Peter Timmins alongside lifelong friend Alan Anton, the band has enjoyed a 40-year legacy of quality performances and iconic albums. The year-long run is designed to showcase the group's sprawling 29-album catalog through intimate theater concerts.
The original tour leg was announced in October 2025, with a handful of New Zealand and Australian shows taking place from November through March. Since then, the group has announced several major tour-date drops, sending them across the U.K. and North America.
Their most recent announcement adds 36 U.S. and Canadian shows to their trek, commencing on June 4 in Saxapahaw, North Carolina and concluding on November 21 in Brownfield, Maine.
