Alex Warren Says Making His New Album Was a ‘Healing, Therapeutic' Experience

Alex Warren is opening up about his new album, “Wildchild,” and he’s making it clear that it’s a very personal release.

As for the meaning of the album’s title, Warren explains in a statement, “Growing up, my dad used to call me Wildchild so it’s always had a special meaning and I even have it tattooed on me.”

"Creating this album was really healing, therapeutic and a way for me to continue finding out more about myself,” he added of the set, which is out on Aug. 28. “This album really shows where I am in my life today and compared to my first album which feels like a man who is broken, this one is a man who’s trying to heal.”

Warren also says that doing this album has brough him comfort. “It’s been really nice to be able to confront those feelings and also be able to share them with the world to give everyone a transparent view into my life,” he adds in the statement.

Speaking with Hits Radio UK, Warren said that tracks on the album can be easily summarized as, “I hate you, I love you, and I love my wife and I miss you.” He adds: “I wanted to have at least a song or two for each emotion you feel.”

Ahead of the album’s release, Warren has also unleashed the single “Passenger,” featuring a video where he’s working to get the attention of a love interest and craziness ensues. Watch the music video below.
