Watch: Friends cling to side of Thai mountain in 'Fall 2: Deadpoint' trailer

June 4 (UPI) -- Lionsgate released a new trailer for the thriller Fall 2: Deadpoint -- starring Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas and Tom Brittney -- on Thursday.

"From the survival hit that tapped into the fear of heights and left two friends stranded at the top of a tower comes a climb that goes higher, gets deadlier, and hits with next-level adrenaline," said a synopsis accompanying the preview.

"In Fall 2: Deadpoint, two friends take on new heights in Thailand, where unpredictable terrain, extreme exposure, and nowhere to hide push survival further than ever before."

Directed by The Spierig Brothers, the film is set for theatrical release on Sept. 2.

The first movie starred Grace Caroline Currey, Virginia Gardner, Mason Gooding and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Currey and Gardner returned for the sequel.
