Why Pink Was ‘Terrified' To Be a Mom Before Having 15-Year-Old Daughter Willow
Pink was "terrified" to become a mom-but she wouldn't trade what motherhood has taught her for the world.
The "Raise Your Glass" singer, 46, got "very emotional" while looking back on how daughter Willow changed her life 15 years ago as she celebrated her firstborn's milestone birthday on Tuesday, June 2.
"Honestly, I was terrified to be a mother," Pink told E! News of welcoming her first child with husband Carey Hart. "I told Willow in her birthday card that she taught me what love is. And I've loved every phase of being her mom."
"It makes me very emotional," added the musician, who is set to host the 2026 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 7. "I did not know that I would be able to handle a teenager-and she is the easiest person I've ever met to love."
Pink has performed on stage with Willow numerous times over the past few years, but admitted that her teenager is now "finally at the age where she would like to do her own thing," which she joked is "boring."
Hart was also sure to celebrate his daughter's 15th birthday, taking to Instagram with a heartfelt look back on his years as her father.
"My beautiful daughter Willow. Thank you so much for choosing me to be your father. Each year that goes by is one year closer to you being on your own," he wrote in his birthday post. "And [though] it gets harder for me each year, I couldn't be more proud of the woman you are becoming."
"There is no doubt you are gonna change the world one day," the former motocross racer continued. "And I could not be more proud of you, Munchkin. Always know that your old man loves you more than life itself. Happy 15th birthday."
