Watch: Jennifer Lopez was 'blown away' by 'Off Campus' green dress homage

June 3 (UPI) -- Jennifer Lopez says she was "blown away" by the Off Campus homage to her iconic green Grammys dress and her 2011 song "On the Floor."

The singer and actress, 56, reacted to Mika Abdalla donning a recreation of the plunging green Versace dress she wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards in an interview Tuesday with Extra.

"It was fantastic. First of all, I just was enjoying the show, but then to see what happened with the song after that and how viral it went ... It's funny that a song that you made 15 years ago could go back into the charts. It's incredible," she said.

Abdalla plays Allie on Off Campus, Prime Video's young adult romantic drama based on the Elle Kennedy book series. Season 1, Episode 2 features a scene of Allie catching Dean's (Stephen Kalyn) attention while dressed as Lopez and dancing to "On the Floor" at a Halloween party.

"I loved it," Lopez said of the homage. "I loved it, and I thought it was really clever the way they did it."

Lopez shared a video on Instagram last week of herself meeting Abdalla and dancing with her to "On the Floor."

Lopez will next star with Brett Goldstein in the romantic comedy Office Romance, which starts streaming Friday on Prime Video.
