Iconic '90s Singer Announced as Special Guest for 2026 Tour

Fans of classic pop music are getting a major surprise this fall. Hitmaker Taylor Dayne announced that she will join Roxette as a special guest on the band's 2026 North American anniversary tour.

The tour celebrates 40 years since Roxette released its debut album, Pearls of Passion, in 1986. The North American run begins on Sept. 10 in Clarkston, Michigan, and wraps up on Oct. 9 in Auburn, Washington. Taylor Dayne and Nick Lowe with Los Straitjackets will appear as special guests during the tour.

Dayne shared the news directly with fans on Instagram, saying, " I'm joining the Roxette 40th Anniversary Tour this fall and I cannot wait to see all of your beautiful faces out there. I really hope you'll join me and come ready to party!"

The singer listed several stops for the tour, including Toronto, Philadelphia, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix and Montreal.

Roxette confirmed the 2026 North American dates as part of the group's worldwide anniversary celebration. The Swedish pop act was founded by Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson. Fredriksson died in 2019, but the group returned to the stage with Swedish singer Lena Philipsson handling lead vocals alongside Gessle.

The band's North American schedule includes 14 cities across the United States and Canada. Fans can expect performances of Roxette's biggest songs, including "The Look," "Listen to Your Heart," "Joyride" and "It Must Have Been Love."

Before the North American shows begin, Roxette will perform across Europe during the summer. Several presales are planned ahead of the public ticket release. General ticket sales officially begin Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Taylor Dayne became one of the biggest pop stars of the late 1980s and early 1990s after releasing her breakout hit "Tell It to My Heart" in 1987. The song became a worldwide success and helped launch a long run of chart hits.

Her first two albums, Tell It to My Heart and Can't Fight Fate, were both certified double platinum by the RIAA. During her career, Dayne earned seven Top 10 singles in the United States, including "Love Will Lead You Back," "Prove Your Love," "I'll Always Love You" and "I'll Be Your Shelter."

The singer has sold more than 75 million albums and singles worldwide and received two Grammy Award nominations.

In recent years, Dayne has continued touring and performing live. Earlier this year, fans reacted to backstage photos from one of her concerts that showed the singer wearing a black bodysuit with gold details and knee-high boots.

The performer has also spoken openly about personal struggles, including the death of her father and her colon cancer diagnosis in 2022. After surgery and treatment, Dayne said she gained a stronger appreciation for life and performing.

"I'm so much more present, and I'm so much more vulnerable now," she said in an interview with People.

"I went through hell and back, but it's not the first hell. Probably not gonna be the last. But, I'm saying to you, I hold my hands on my heart, I look at my audience, and then I go for it. I go for the guts. That's me. That's what you're gonna see onstage."
