EasySMX D10 Review: Budget Price, Pro-Level Ambitions

EasySMX continues to be the most underrated controller brand in all of gaming, and its D10 multiplatform gaming controller continues that trend by delivering a premium experience at an affordable price without sacrificing quality. But can the D10 provide enough pro features despite its budget price tag?

What's in the Box

When opening the box, you'll get the EasySMX D10 gamepad, a charging dock, a USB Type-C data cable, a 2.4G receiver, and the instruction manual.

Feature Set

The D10 gamepad packs in multi-platform support, letting players jump between PC, Switch, iOS, and Android without missing a beat. It features customizable RGB lighting and a D-pad powered by EasyPos technology for millisecond-level response times and precise eight-direction movement. The controller also comes loaded with TMR sticks featuring a 1000Hz polling rate, Hall Effect triggers and microswitch non-linear triggers designed to adapt across different styles of gameplay. Rounded out with a charging dock, two programmable buttons, four vibration settings, six-axis motion control on Switch and a 1000mAh battery, the D10 aims to bring speed and customization to the front of the experience.

Real Life Testing

Coming in farout purple, wirtanen green, and space black, the D10 has a futuristic feel that's hidden with the space black model and more apparent with the farout purple and wirtanen green models. This controller is noisy when pressing the various buttons, but also satisfying as the controller feels natural to use. As usual, EasySMX has a solid built structure, battery life, and versatility to be played on multiple platforms.

For using this controller on the Switch 2, the lack of the screenshot button is noticeable and would be nice to have for playing games on PC as well. While the controller includes an instruction manual, with the features of this controller, it would be nice to have an LED screen or App support to customize the controller in an easier fashion.

Final Verdict

At $59.99, the EasySMX D10 continues the company's trend of delivering premium-style features without the premium price tag. While it misses out on deeper customization options through an onboard LED display, that omission does little to hold it back. The D10 still lands as another strong entry for EasySMX and a solid value for players looking for pro-level performance on a budget.

Positives:

Feels great with its lightweight feel and responsive buttons

RGB looks cool on the sides, but is not overwhelming

Simple to turn on and off

Negatives:

Lack of a screenshot button

Could use an LED screen to customize the features easily

Score: 9.0
