KeSPA announced the following six players as the final candidates for South Korea's 2026 Asian Games League of Legends team. The roster features some of the LCK's most well-known stars.

These are the players who were selected and their respective LCK team:

South Korea's 2026 Asian Games LoL Team Still Pending Approval

The roster still requires final approval from the Korean Olympic Committee before it can officially represent South Korea at the 2026 Asian Games.

According to KeSPA, players registered with the association, along with their guardians, coaches, and affiliated team representatives, may file an appeal regarding the roster selections. Appeals can be submitted until May 28.

Why the 2026 Asian Games Matters for South Korea's LoL Players

Getting selected to participate in the Asian Games carries major benefits for South Korea's League of Legends players. Winning a gold medal at the event could exempt them from mandatory military service. This is a life-changing benefit, as it could extend their careers as professional gamers.

The 2026 Asian Games is expected to take place in September in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with multiple esports titles set to be featured as medal events. League of Legends is expected to once again be one of the tournament's biggest attractions following its debut as a medal event during the previous Asian Games.
