Swan Song Sets June 4 Release Date

Business Goose Studios has locked in June 4 as the launch date for Swan Song, the music-box puzzle game built around a true story of family grief. The Belgian studio confirmed the date during the Galaxies Spring 2026 Showcase, and with the game now just over two weeks out, this one is coming up fast.

A Music Box That Opens a Family Story

The game is set inside a magical music box, and its mechanics are as elegant as the setting. Players arrange notes on a musical scale, then turn the key. The composition plays, and the music activates platforms and opens paths that guide a small swan safely back to its nest. It reads as simple, earning its complexity quietly rather than loudly.

What sets Swan Song apart from most puzzle games is where the story comes from. The music box at the center of the narrative was its creator's final masterpiece, built as a tribute to his family. As players work through the puzzles, fragments of that story emerge: grief, memory, and the things that outlast the people who made them. It draws from a real personal experience to shape the game's emotional core, shown in the way Swan Song carries itself.

The Team Behind Sizeable Returns With Something Heavier

Business Goose Studios built their reputation with Sizeable, a miniature puzzle game that found a quiet, dedicated audience on both PC and mobile. Swan Song is a different kind of follow-up: same precision, different weight. Where Sizeable was a game you could put down and return to easily, Swan Song is designed to sit with you a little longer.

The soundtrack is by Jamal Green, who composed the score for TOEM. If you know that game, you know what that means for the overall texture of the experience, and you can expect the same feeling of coziness in Swan Song.

Swan Song is the kind of small game that tends to surface at the end of a year's best-of conversations. It launches on Steam on June 4.
