Costco Members Avoid These Days to Shop - and It's Not Just the Weekend

Wholesale shopping on the wrong day is becoming so dreaded that memes have gone viral about the trend.

"I would go to Costco on a Saturday with you" is just one example - imagine being so infatuated love with someone that you'd commit to this ominous day of shopping with them.

Costco members are well aware that weekend days are particularly brutal in terms of crowded parking lots and equally crowded aisles - not to mention those endless checkout lines.

Most Americans are busy with everything else in their lives Monday through Friday, so why not plan ahead and capitalize a presumably emptier warehouse during the workweek?

Apparently, that's not always the case. As Allrecipes pointed out, members have taken to social media to warn others that weekdays can be equally risky in terms of time consumption.

"The parking lot was insane. The had someone out there directing traffic," a Redditor once posted about their Monday visit, to which another user weighed in, "People think they are sneaky and can beat the crowds by coming on Friday or Monday, but they are generally still fairly busy days (and the stores aren't staffed as heavily as they are on the weekend)."

So, there you have it. Mondays might see a heavy pour-in due to members (who had too busy a weekend) stocking up for the rest of the week, while Fridays are probably when shoppers are loading up for getaways or mini-vacations.

In other Costco news, the company recently made headlines after leaning heavily into water-related summer gear. A viral wellness tool athletes swear by just quietly landed in warehouses only: the LifeTrend Classic Cold Plunge Tub with Chiller.

Designed to support athletic recovery and boost energy, this cold plunge is not your average Costco find-it brings a science-backed wellness practice into your home with an easy-to-use design you'll want to hop into every day.
