The chain announced the new Golden Ticket Dumpling series, which includes just one gold-colored squishy toy named Goldie in the entire drop, would drop on May 16. This special dumpling comes with a $1,000 Five Below in-store shopping spree, and the drop will also include an undisclosed number of silver dumplings that they described as "rare."

Five Below also named May 16 World Goldie Day in honor of the start of the drop, with the series running through July 31, 2025. That means if you stop by Five Below anytime over the next two months, until Goldie is found, you have a chance to win. The squishy toys, which come in a plastic bamboo steamer basket, generally cost between $5 and $10.

There are just under 2,000 Five Below stores across 47 U.S. states, and the new series of the toy will be dropping in all of them, according to the chain. The store warns, however, that "Popular viral toys can sell quickly, so availability may vary by store and restock timing." For this specific drop, fans are only allowed to purchase "one dumpling per customer per day."

The exciting new spin on the already-viral product has fans going wild. Early on May 16, X was already flooded with images and videos of shoppers lining up and even camping overnight to get the first shot at the blind boxes.

While some were interested in the prize, plenty were also excited about the toy itself. "It is 8:15AM and I am in line for 2 hours at 5 Below because my kid wants something called a dumpling," teased one user. Others were excited for the chance to resell the item at a markup, with one writing that "resell is $15-35 currently."

Prior to the drop, fans were clamoring for details on the store's Instagram page. When one follower asked, "Do we just go up to the counter for it or is it somewhere in the store?" they said, "it's 1 per person bestie, and you will be giving a ticket! Dumplings for everyone."
