"Last week would have marked our fourth wedding anniversary," it started. "Out of respect for the life we shared, I wanted to address this moment directly with the community that has supported us over the years."
"It's heartbreaking to share that our marriage is coming to an end," the post continued. "This is not the outcome I hoped for, and I entered this relationship with deep love, commitment, and the intention of building a lasting life together."
She explained that they grew in different directions, and love alone couldn't make the union work. The slide ended with her thanking people for their kindness and support.
The third slide was Kwame's similar-looking text statement. "This isn't something either of us ever imagine, and it's been one of the hardest decisions to make," read part of the slide. "As difficult as it's been to arrive here, I believe it's in our best interest considering, amongst many other things, that our ultimate life goals don't feel aligned," it later read.
The former couple talked a lot about where they'd rather live and when they wanted kids on the Netflix show. Chelsea later joined the Love Is Blind casting team in 2023.
