Kim Kardashian Threw Son Psalm a Pokémon Party and Fans Are ‘Obsessed With the Giant Pikachu'
It's a Pokémon party! Celeb mom Kim Kardashianrecently celebrated son Psalm'sbirthday in a big way. And fans are kind of obsessed with the over-the-top soiree.
No one does kids' parties like the rich and famous. Who could forget the epic StormiWorld bashesKylie Jenner threw for her kiddo, and then there was Kardashian's extravagant Hello Kitty-themed event for Chicago West's birthday in 2023. Of course, the Kardashian-Jenner clan isn't the only family that goes big for Bdays. Paris Hilton celebrated daughter London's second birthday in 2025 with an elaborate puppy party that included a "Paw Spa" and a bubbleologist, Cardi Bhad a luxury race car bash for son, Wave in 2022, and The Valley reality TV star Lala Kent threw daughter, Sosa, an impressively elegant outdoor event with a three-tiered floral cake, a ball pit, a bouncy house, and some pretty phenomenal decor.
But back to Kim K and Psalm's birthday. Kardashian's youngest son (with ex-husband Kanye West) turned seven on May 9. And like any other elementary-aged child, he's totally into Pokémon. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star posted an absolutely adorable carousel of pics to Instagram this week, featuring sweet snapshots from Psalm's big day. Instead of going into detail, Kim added the simple caption, "Pokémon Psalm!"
The first photo is of Kardashian and her newly turned seven-year-old wearing a Pokémon Pikachu tee. That is, Psalm, not Kim. Instead, Kardashian wore a basic white fitted tank and jeans to her son's party. She also includes a few family pictures and one of a giant Pikachu mascot. The carousel continues with outdoor candids of Psalm and his friends enjoying a sunny California day at the pool in Kardashian's yard. Beautiful weather? A multi-million dollar house? We're officially jealous now.
But there's more. Along with a pic of Psalm's cake, Kardashian also throws in a selfie with Pikachu and a photo featuring her mom, "Lovey," Kris Jenner. Obviously, Jenner isn't a "granny" or a "gram." Youthful Kris is affectionately called "Lovey" by her grandchildren.
What do fans think of the lavish bash? Comments such as "This is fun" and "Obsessed with the giant Pikachu" poured in. Other commenters noted the closeness of the Kardashian fam, writing, "Family…Matters", "What a beautiful, supportive, healthy family, we love to see it," and "Cousins are the best kind of friends." Which Kardashian kiddo can we look forward to seeing birthday pics of next? Kim's eldest daughter, North West, turns 13 on June 15, and fans are wondering what the celeb family will do to celebrate this major milestone!
