Stanley Tucci, 65, Discusses 21 Year Age Gap With His Wife: ‘We Had Nothing in Common'

Stanley Tucci, the 65-year-old actor known for The Lovely Bones and Julie & Julia, is married to 45-year-old Felicity Blunt. She is the sister of Emily Blunt, who was the one to introduce them during the Devil Wears Prada premiere in 2006. Tucci was married at the time, but he ran into Felicity again at Emily's wedding to John Krasinski in 2010 and they started dating shortly after.

When Tucci recently appeared on the Open Book podcast with Jenna Bush Hager, he discussed his age gap relationship. "I wasn't sure that I would ever remarry," he said, referring to his wife Kathryn Spath. The pair married in 1995, and Spath died from cancer in 2009.

Tucci continued, "I never thought I would have children again. And when I met her, it just sort of made sense, even though there is this age gap of 21 years. And obviously, I knew her family, or I knew her sister was one of my best friends. And we just hit it off."

Tucci then explained more about his relationship with Felicity, who is a British literary agent working with the Curtis Brown Group. "We had a lot in common, even though we had nothing in common," he said. "And it just sort of stuck. But I think she changed my life in the sense that she gave me a sense of security. She gave my children a sense of security. And she's fun. Like, she's fun to hang out with."

Tucci went on, "She's incredibly positive, which I am not always. I mean, her mind is incredible. Her capacity to take in information, not just from a book, but from the world and process it, and turn it into something else is just extraordinary. She's pretty cool."

According to Page Six, Tucci revealed that he once tried to break up with her out of fear that he would always feel too old because of their difference in age. However, the pair ended up sticking together and married in 2012. They had a son in 2015 and a daughter in 2018. Tucci also has three children from his first marriage.
