‘Days of Our Lives' Favorite Joins Heartwarming New Project-And Her Co-Stars Are Already Reacting
Former Days of Our Lives star Finley Rose Slater (Rachel Black) is already in production on her next project, and her former co-stars are cheering the actress on.
Slater has joined the cast of Ethan Almighty – Ethan's Law, where she will be portraying the role of Lilly.
The actress announced the news on Instagram, writing, "So excited to share the news that I will be part of the inspiring true story of ETHAN ALMIGHTY - ETHAN'S LAW 🐕. Such an incredible cast of actors to work with."
She shared she was excited to get started working with director Tane McClure, and "our furry friend 🐶" she concluded her post, adding, " Get ready to be inspired ❤️ !!!! "
The movie is described as a real-life story about a heroic dog that miraculously survives against all odds, changing the life of Jeff Callaway, his new adoptive human. Together, they inspire the State of Kentucky to pass "Ethan's Law," an anti-cruelty-to-animals bill.
The film is written by Tyke Caravelli and Tane McClure, with McClure also directing.
In addition to Slater, the film stars Sean Patrick Flanery, Selma Blair, Brandon Routh, and former Days of Our Lives star Trevor Donovan.
Slater's former on-screen parents, Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) and Stacy Haiduk (Kristen Blake DiMera), took to the comment section to cheer her on. "🙌🙌🙌," wrote Martsolf while Haiduk added, "Amazing!❤️❤️❤️"
Fans also took to the comment section to share their excitement for her. One user wrote, "Congratulations!!!! Hope you have an amazing experience as well as enjoying your time here in Louisville!" While a second shared, "I live in the same town as Ethan. He's incredible and has inspired millions. 🐶" A third user echoed the feelings, sharing, "Congratulations, Finley! That's fantastic! The actress appeared on Days of Our Lives from 2021 until 2025, with the role being recast by Alice Halsey and now Lorelei Olivia Mote.
Slater's credits also include appearances on Playing with Fire, The Idol, and Don't Turn Out the Lights.
