Stevie Nicks Makes Met Gala Debut in Zara Dress

Stevie Nicks attended her first-ever Met Gala!

Throughout her over 50-year career, the singer-songwriter is known for her witchy, boho-inspired style. She donned a deep blue silk taffeta gown with a full petticoat silhouette this Monday afternoon.

Nicks celebrated the annual charity fundraiser for The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute with the one-of-a-kind Zara dress designed by JohnGalliano.

The Fleetwood Mac front woman embraced the Met Gala's theme "Costume Art" and the "Fashion Is Art" dress code with her embroidered overlay skirt featuring tulle and chiffon roses. She completed the voluminous outfit with a velvet jacket and a black top hat decorated with a gray feather, created in collaboration with milliner StephenJones.

She walked the red carpet (or green carpet) with glittering Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including diamond earrings, rings, and a sparkling necklace from the label's recent Blue Book collection. The crystal opal statement piece is in platinum and yellow gold, with unenhanced crystal opals and diamonds.

The Go Your Own Way singer kept her makeup simple with a light smoky eye and wore her iconic long, blonde curls down.

Zara and Galliano were also behind Inditex chairwoman Marta Ortega Perez's outfit. She sported a blue bias-cut silk dress with a matching cape and Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Galliano dressed in a tuxedo from Saville Row tailor Anderson & Sheppard. Earlier this year, the designer announced he will release a collection for Zara. Both Met Gala looks are custom and designed especially for the event.

The annual Met Gala typically coincides with the opening of the spring fashion exhibition. This year, the Met is welcoming a new 12,000 square foot Condé M. Nast Galleries. The addition will pair 200 garments with 200 artworks from the museum's collection.
