Trader Joe's 'Tasty' New Korean Snack Has Fans 'Obsessed'
Reviews are pouring in for Trader Joe's newest snack drop.
The beloved grocery chain (which is well known for their creative snacks and dessert options) just released their version of a popular Korean street food-Potato Cheese Sticks.
Inspired by Korean-style corn dogs, these frozen snacks skip the traditional hot dog center and lean fully into the cheese. According to their website, each stick is coated in a lightly sweet batter that's rolled in small cubes of potato before being cooked to a crisp.
Trader Joe's notes the product is made by a Korean supplier, staying true to the street food inspiration that has gained popularity worldwide. And while they're designed to be eaten on their own, they're also ideal for dipping-whether that's classic ketchup or something a little more elevated like one of their many specialty sauces.
The sticks can be ready in just a few minutes in the air fryer (or slightly longer in a conventional oven), and cost just $4.99 for a box of four.
So far, shoppers seem to be mostly on board.
"Really tasty, though can use some sort of seasoning," one Reddit user noted. "Just had them. Cooked perfectly in the air fryer. So good, will buy again," wrote another.
"Yummm these are good especially with the spicy dynamite sauce! great late night snack," one replied.
A third stated that the sticks are fine as is: "Kind of obsessed with them. I don't put any sauce on them - I think they are perfect."

That said, not everyone is completely sold. Some customers have pointed out issues with texture or sweetness levels.
"They are decent. The breading reminds me of an onion ring batter and there isn't enough cheese to balance out the breading. I wouldn't get them again," one explained.
"They are good, a little sweet. My problem with it is how little you get for the price," claimed another.
Like many Trader Joe's launches, the Potato Cheese Sticks won't be around long as they are a limited item, so if you see them next time you're shopping, definitely grab a box-or three.
