'1000-Lb Best Friends' Star Scott Bagwill Unrecognizable After Losing 300 Pounds
1000-Lb Best Friends star Scott Bagwill is utterly unrecognizable in a new photo after losing 300 pounds.
On Friday, May 1, the TLC star took to Instagram with a snapshot of himself smiling while standing next to Dr. Charles Procter, his bariatric surgeon.
"Today was a full circle kind of day," Bagwill began his update. "I got to work on a special project with @charlesproctermd and the team at @beltlinebariatric , and it honestly meant more than I can put into words."
He added, "Then came a moment I will never forget. @charlesproctermd officially welcomed me into the 100 pounds lost club… three times over."
In the featured image, Bagwill and Procter held up three green T-shirts that read, "Missing 100+ pounds: No Reward. Do not report if found."

Followers promptly flooded the comments with praise after picking up their jaws from the floor. One Instagram user wrote, "Amazing work, Scott! I'm so happy for you! As a bariatric NP, I absolutely understand the hard work and dedication you have put into this. Congratulations! 🎉."
Another shared, "You look incredible. That is such an amazing achievement. I am currently 116 lbs down and loving the new me."
Someone else echoed, "Wow!!! That's incredible!! I wish someone would pick up your show again!! Very inspiring."
A different fan exclaimed, "SCOTT!! Omg! Incredible!"
Meanwhile, yet another Instagram. user commented, "Congrats! Truly an inspiration! 👏🏻👏🏻."
In January, Bagwill similarly stunned his followers when he posted before-and-after photos of his weight loss journey on Instagram.
Bagwill joined 1000-Lb Best Friends in Season 3. The show also starred Vannessa Cross, Meghan Crumpler, Ashely Sutton, Tina Arnold, and Tina Biel. In December 2024, Season 3 of 1000-Lb Best Friends concluded. Since then, TLC has not announced news about a potential Season 4.
