Snooki Shares Health Regret After Cervical Cancer Diagnosis
Snooki is stressing the importance of preventative care following her cervical cancer diagnosis.
The Jersey Shore star spoke with Lara Spencer for Good Morning America about navigating her diagnosis. The interview will air on Thursday, April 23.
It's scary," she told Spencer. "But, knowing that this is actually preventative, just go to your appointments and you won't have to deal with this."
Spencer asked Snooki if she has any regrets to which she responded, "I do. Like, why were you so scared? It's literally a 10-minute appointment. You get it done, you figure it out, and then that's it."
She added that she now has to "get a hysterectomy because I'm stage 1 now."
The reality star first shared her diagnosis publicly back in February on social media.
"My results came back from my cone biopsy, you guys, and it came back stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma," she said on TikTok. "Obviously not the news that I was hoping for, but also not the worst news, just because they caught it so early. Thank freaking God!"
In the video, she thanked her fans for their support and said "everything's going to be fine," and "I'm going to tackle this and get it done. Get your appointments done, b****es!"
The final season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will premiere on May 7 with Snooki set to return.
Good Morning Americaairs Monday-Friday from 7-9 a.m. ET.
