Who Won ‘Jeopardy' Today? (April 21, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.

What was Final Jeopardy today?

Final Jeopardy today was in the category "18th Century Works."

The clue: "Ironically, it was the mayor of Strasbourg, a victim of the guillotine, who requested the composition of this."

The answer: What is La Marseillaise?

A Final Jeopardy where all of the contestants answered correctly, but it was Ding's smart wager of $4,001 that sealed the deal. Ding walked into Final Jeopardy with $17,600, with his wager and a correct answer leading him to a final score of $21,601.

It was just enough to protect his lead from Ernst, who walked into the final round with $10,800. If he wagered everything and got it right, he could've overtaken Ding, but he wagered $9,800 with a correct answer, totaling a final score of $19,800.

Sekscenski, who found both Daily Doubles but missed them, wisely wagered nothing in Final Jeopardy, with her correct answer allowing her to keep the final score at $400.

Ding goes for his 29th consecutive win again on Wednesday.
