Comedy Superstar Lands Prestigious Global Magazine Cover After Chris Rock Pens Her Powerful Tribute
Nikki Glaser has spent the past two years saying yes to nearly every stage, special, and awards show that came her way. On Wednesday, April 15, Time magazine said yes right back.
The stand-up landed one of four worldwide covers for the 2026 Time100 issue, the magazine's annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. She shares the cover rollout with actressZoe Saldana, Brazilian star Wagner Moura, and country singer Luke Combs.
Chris Rock Calls Her 'Scared' for the Right Reasons
Chris Rock penned the Time100 tribute. In it, the comedy legend wrote that one of the things he loves about Glaser is that she "has the decency to be scared" because of how hard she works.
Rock also passed along a piece of advice he once got from Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels. "You can't make an entrance if you never leave," Michaels told Rock, per the tribute. Rock wrote he hopes Glaser takes her time and explores every corner of her gift.
She Will Host the Time100 Gala Next Week
Glaser is not just on the cover. She will host the 20th annual Time100 Gala on Thursday, April 23, in New York City. Fellow honoree Dakota Johnson is among the class of 2026 being celebrated that night, with a tribute essay written by Taylor Swift. Luke Combs and Coco Jones are set to perform.
A Whirlwind Stretch Since the 2025 Golden Globes
Glaser's rise has been hard to miss. She hosted the 2025 Golden Globes to rave reviews, wrapped her Good Girl world tour in 2024, and finished her Alive and Unwell run across the U.S., Canada, and Australia in 2025.
This year, she is on the road with her new Stunning tour, a 30-stop swing across Europe and North America that kicks off in June. She is also sharing select weekends at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with David Spade for a joint Vegas residency.
Who Else Made the 2026 List
Fellow entertainment figures on this year's Time100 include Ben Stiller, Benicio Del Toro, Ethan Hawke, Kate Hudson, Noah Wyle, Keke Palmer, Sterling K. Brown, Hilary Duff, Noah Kahan, and Victoria Beckham.
