Best-Selling Author Announces Third Book of Award-Winning Series
The Story Lake series is far from over after the best-selling author Lucy Score announced exciting news.
Following the success of the 2025 rom-com novel The Story of My Life and its 2026 follow-up Mistakes Were Made, the 46-year-old author has revealed a surprise treat for her readers who have eagerly followed the Story Lake journey.
The series features a contemporary romantic comedy trilogy that immerses readers in the fantasy of moving to a charming small town and starting over.
The story is set in the quaint town of Story Lake, Pennsylvania, and the series follows the Bishop family, including Campbell (Cam), Gage, Levi and Laura.
In an Instagram update, she teased fans with captivating news about the third installment, set for release next year.
Score hints at what readers can expect, promising not just a heartfelt and satisfying conclusion but a beautifully crafted ending with its third book, Just One More Chapter.
"Just One More Chapter coming your way in March 2027! Story Lake 3 brings the laughs and the feels to wrap up the series," the caption reads alongside the photo of the manuscript, suggesting that the trilogy is all set.
The comment section was filled with reactions from readers who couldn't wait for the novel's official release.
"I am going to miss these babies so much. CANNOT WAIT!!" a follower remarked.

Moreover, others shared their excitement about returning to Story Lake, especially to revisit their favorite characters and see how their stories unfold in the final installment.

As for the second book, Mistakes Were Made landed No. 1 in Romantic Comedy on Amazon's Best Sellers lists.
In addition to her growing list of best-selling books, one of Score's significant works was the hit Knockemout series, featuring the 2022 novel Things We Never Got Over, making this her first title to hit the New York Times list. Things We Left Behind, the final book in the trilogy, also landed No. 1 on the New York Times bestsellers list.
