2016 Best Sports Bar: Uncle Sam's Saloon

Looking for the best sports bar in the Tri-Cities? Uncle Sam’s Saloon is the place to be. Best known for having 54 televisions, good food and 60 beers on tap, it should be no surprise it’s the top sports bar in town.

Dan and Shirley Gray opened Uncle Sam’s Saloon in 2004. Under previous owners, the bar used to be called Silent Sam’s, then Sam’s Saloon.

Although not always easy to find (it’s tucked back off Gage Boulevard in Kennewick), the crowds are always there. The atmosphere has a true sports vibe, and the patrons come from all walks of life. You will often find the parking lot full in the evenings as people come to cheer on their teams.

Everywhere you look there is a flat screen TV, and Gray tries to accommodate his customers if there is a particular game they want to watch. “I do have a hard time finding rugby,” he admitted.

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chicken fried steak, which takes up a whole plate, is a popular choice for breakfast, while the ribeye steak steals the show at dinner.

Gray said he loves the support of the community, and they sponsor Uncle Sam’s Saloon Relapse Softball.
