2016 Best Nightlife: Jokers
Voted best nightlife venue for past four years, Joker’s Comedy Club is a clear favorite when it comes to going out in the Tri-Cities. Year after year the staff aim to improve their nightlife options and service offerings.
“We’re just trying to fine-tune things and offer the best service we possibly can,” said Max Faulkner, owner of Joker’s Comedy Club. “We have a bigger beer cooler, new lasers, new club lights, new fans and our security is better trained on verbal service. It’s just a safe place to have fun, and we’re always looking to expand that.”
As the only comedy club in the Tri-Cities, Joker’s is known for bringing in big name acts to the Tri-Cities. The business opened as a small bowling center in 1957. A later remodel added a large lounge space, which serves as a both a comedy club and a nightclub.
The club has a weekly lineup of nightlife options to suit different tastes. On Thursdays Sean Da Don hosts and deejays Ladies Nights, and on Fridays they’ve added Friday Night Life, which brings popular local bands like Colorblind and Groove Principal to the stage. On Saturdays they have the ever-popular Salsa Saturdays with promoter Arturo Juarez.
The spacious comedy club and dance venue in Richland can hold up to 900 guests. Comedy starts at 8:30 p.m. and the nightclub activity starts at 10 p.m.
