In 2009, Wes and Shannon Heyden opened their first Roasters Coffee in the parking lot of the Red Lion Hotel in Pasco.

More than a decade later, the business has grown to 14 locations in the Tri-Cities and Walla Walla, and has become the go-to stop for coffee drinkers for the past five years.

“We are always thrilled when we win,” Roasters project manager Jerick Guilliam said. “We appreciate the loyalty. We treat people really well. We get to know them on a personal level, and memorize their orders. It’s more than just a cup of coffee.”

The top drinks on the menu at Roasters are the Iced Rocket, Americano, and the Revel energy drinks.

While coffee is the main focus of the business, the Heydens also have made a commitment to giving back to the community.

“When I first came up with the Roasters concept, I deeply wanted to serve the Tri-Cities people,” Wes Heyden said. “I have a deep gratitude to the local people of this community and have committed to always improve our business to serve the communities we are part of. We will never stop getting better, and we will always give back what we receive. Roasters exists to serve.”
