The Richland High School football team won’t be going to Tacoma this year.

The Bombers (11-2) fell to undefeated Gonzaga Prep 31-17 in a Class 4A state semifinal Saturday at Edgar Brown Stadium in Pasco.

The Bullpups (13-0) were the only team to beat Richland this season, also handing the Bombers a 13-10 defeat Sept. 4.

Gonzaga Prep will play the winner of Saturday night’s semifinal between Skyline and Lake Stevens for the 4A state championship. The final is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Tacoma Dome.

Liberty Christian, Prosser, Royal and Connell are the other Mid-Columbia teams vying for state championship berths Saturday.
